well sure. but Anarch could play 3x Parasite without spending influence, whereas other factions had to spend 6 influence. it affects what each faction can and can't do in terms of deckbuilding.
oh sure, but like, afaik no one is ever thinking "oh there's a lot of criminal decks around, i better add some more barriers". putting parasite in your game means that people are thinking 'how do i stop parasite' instead

well yeah, but ice composition isn't really like that? you pick based on what your deck is trying to do + what is good against the breakers you expect to see.

if criminal decks with Saker were really popular then maybe you would see people playing more barriers that Saker is bad against. but usually Criminal decks will be playing better fracters than Saker - people mostly just playing the best ice and the best breakers https://www.knowthemeta.com/DPStats/Las ... gated/#ice

right yes! i'm saying if ice composition isn't really like that the ice-type weaknesses don't really matter

it still matters for deckbuilding. everyone played corroder because that was the only good option, but Crim/Shaper had to spend influence to do that. when Lady came out, Shaper was then able to use that influence on other things

only because they MWL'd Paperclip and Laamb
but yeah Fracter is definitely the one of the three with the least diversity throughout the game's history

I hear Atman's name in the cadence of Scatman, which makes it the best AI breaker

Run a server protected by ice. When that run ends, gain 6 credits, plus 1 credit for each piece of ice you passed during that run.
so, different High-Stakes Job? seems about as good as HSJ (i.e. not good)
today i realized that this is way better than HSJ because the run doesn't have to be successful. if they have an ice wall or whatever you can even just bounce off that for an easy mark!

(whose stuff happens first depends on whose turn it is, so many interactions work differently during An Offer You Can't Refuse runs)

so how alive is the unlife of this game? have people mostly migrated to one of the other lcgs? I really enjoyed it back in the day, for all the balance problems

pretty stably alive. easy to find games on jnet (just checked and there were 10 games going; often there is more than that). definitely fewer IRL tournaments but there are still some and i'm pretty sure that my local casual scene is still going. and NISEI is still doing things
