There's a local shop that is going to have a look at it & give me an offer, but I'm guessing they'll lowball me & my experience with Tristal was superb despite the distance involved.

Huzzah, & happy to help me with my situation. Why did these leap so much in the last year? Did Type 1 shake up or something?

I'm not sure there's any one reason, aside from "Power will continue to become more valuable".

The foils are from an unannounced subset of cards that aren't in the mainline set. But that's still distinctly less interesting than the playtest cards so rip

But tripling in value in as many years? I am banking on that not being sustainable, & selling out now - remind me to kick myself when they're 100k in 5 years.

No but I'm going to

I'm still theorizing over it, but at this point I believe it's going to be: One of each common from Mirage, Visions, Prophecy, and Dominaria

I remain really unsure about the approach of putting sets into a cube wholesale rather than going for something more curated, but I like the sound of that more than the previous version. Do you think the dominaria cards run the risk of overshadowing the older cards? Or does the common rarity flatten things out a little

Yeah if you look at the commons from Dominaria, they'll make the colors more reliable

They should pick it back up and be more careful with it in future. These things are fragile

It certainly appears to beat the shit out of Eldraine so far which is quite a relief.
