Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
There's a local shop that is going to have a look at it & give me an offer, but I'm guessing they'll lowball me & my experience with Tristal was superb despite the distance involved.

Bring on the kung-fu amputees - no arms vs. no legs anyone? A bit of high-speed underground ninja-tunneling is always good as well. I wanna see some shit like that. Crazy monks with gnarly special powers can make any film good. FACT.
Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
Yeah, it's just a guaranteed foil

He does!rianalnn wrote:Is Tristal still buying & selling cards? I hung on to my Mox Emerald when I sold the rest of my cards to him, but with it pushing $3000AUD, I think I wanna cash out.
Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
Huzzah, & happy to help me with my situation. Why did these leap so much in the last year? Did Type 1 shake up or something?

I'm not sure there's any one reason, aside from "Power will continue to become more valuable".rianalnn wrote:Huzzah, & happy to help me with my situation. Why did these leap so much in the last year? Did Type 1 shake up or something?
Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
The foils are from an unannounced subset of cards that aren't in the mainline set. But that's still distinctly less interesting than the playtest cards so rip
Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
But tripling in value in as many years? I am banking on that not being sustainable, & selling out now - remind me to kick myself when they're 100k in 5 years.

No but I'm going to
I'm still theorizing over it, but at this point I believe it's going to be: One of each common from Mirage, Visions, Prophecy, and Dominaria

Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
I remain really unsure about the approach of putting sets into a cube wholesale rather than going for something more curated, but I like the sound of that more than the previous version. Do you think the dominaria cards run the risk of overshadowing the older cards? Or does the common rarity flatten things out a little
Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
Yeah if you look at the commons from Dominaria, they'll make the colors more reliableJuri wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 2:10 pm I remain really unsure about the approach of putting sets into a cube wholesale rather than going for something more curated, but I like the sound of that more than the previous version. Magic just dropped an MMO
Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
They should pick it back up and be more careful with it in future. These things are fragile

Re: Random Magic Discussion Thread
It certainly appears to beat the shit out of Eldraine so far which is quite a relief.
