or like, maybe you can also use this to make a really novel massive, massive work. like generate a sort of school class photo that's billions of pixels wide and features approximately the right number of kids who exist in the entire world today with approximately the right demographics
wow, [you]. that all sounds terrible. i hope it gets better for you

My creativity doesn't express itself well through visual media. I can imagine a scene or a character, but I cannot paint that scene or character. I can describe it though. If I can offer up a detailed enough description that an AI can then use to render a fairly reasonable version of my vision, that's really really cool!Skeletor wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 1:45 amthe point is more like, when i look at a piece of human made art i have some perception of connecting with what they put into it
when ive seen the hundredth abstract form that's the same as all the others ive seen from midjourney i don't get that sense, i mostly just see it as sort of an accident, and it's an accident that's only interesting to me on a mathematical level. if the human one is also an accident that's still more interesting to me, i still feel some sense of connection to that
arti is right though i think, that the prompts are becoming a sort of artistry. and of course thinking up what you want to draw is also like, a huge part of art and it maybe sucks that you've also have to be technically proficient with art tools at the same time to express that skill
I see something like this as potentially a fantastic tool to supplement RPG world building.

Re: Headline of the Day
the midjourney outputs i've been using are about 3MB for the full resolution output, which is 1664x1664 pixels. you can easily get a lot of detail with 10 kids wide and 3 kids tall there, for 30 kids per 3MB. if there's 2.2 billion kids, that'd be 200 terrabytesKhaos wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 4:28 amhow large would this image be?Skeletor wrote:or like, maybe you can also use this to make a really novel massive, massive work. like generate a sort of school class photo that's billions of pixels wide and features approximately the right number of kids who exist in the entire world today with approximately the right demographics

but of course you could use way fewer pixels per kid than that, and make choices that make it more compressible

Re: Headline of the Day
alright, how do we get midjourney to make it happen
