Does not look great for the future of theaters.

I don't think so. I still probably wouldn't have HBO Max if it weren't bundled in my ATT

I probably wouldn't either, but it's pretty nice. They have some good stuff and even have Sesame Street for the little guy. If they get big movies on release as well, that's definitely worth paying for.

Worth it for The Mandalorian alone. That being said, Disney+ is very definitely a family streaming service.

Personally I am really excited for the Loki show, Wandavision doesn't seem all that interesting to me.

Tenet is even better the second time

I'm sure it's not a spoiler at this point to tell you that people go backward in time in this movie. I hope it's not.

Anyway, there's a scene where we cut back and forth from people going forward in time to people going backward in time. I didn't notice it the first viewing, but when we cut to the people moving backward in this particular scene, one of the instruments in the score plays backward. Not all the instruments -- just one of them.

I’m going to have to watch that again.

Possibly several times before I’m certain I’m following everything.

i finally got around to watching uncut gems.

it was pretty good. probably a top 100 all time stressful experience, though. sandler was great. <3 kg. all the characters and their motivations and their actions fit really well, i thought. the ending was foreshadowed pretty well, but not to such a degree that it was obvious (to me at least). it left me thinking about it well after i had finished watching, which isnt the usual course for me with movies. a really enjoyable unpleasant experience in whole.
with love, your good friend, seathesee

Isn't that funny, do you remember that people said nobody in the first screenings of Dark Knight Rises could understand Bane

I enjoy Wiig and Pascal, but Gadot was pretty meh the whole time. On paper the story was fine but the emotional payoff is just not there if they can't sell how much it matters to her.

The story was a muddled mess. WW’s powers constantly shifted to service the needs of the story, and her lasso was basically a sonic screwdriver that deserved at least equal billing with Gal Godot.

Wiig’s motivations were at least understandable, but at the end she looked like she visited an off Broadway production of Cats on her way to the fight.

Lord was a weird mish mash of Trump, an 80’s era corporate megalomaniac, and father of the year.

The CGI was unforgivably bad, they didn’t even begin to address the moral issues of Chris Pine’s existence, and it was about 45 minutes too long.

It was a disaster.

In fact, I aggressively dislike this movie. I want a movie with consistent internal logic, rules that aren’t broken because the writers can’t resolve the predicaments they put the characters in, characters that are true to themselves, and a decent story. If you can do that I will forgive a lot. This movie did none of those things.

The first one wasn’t good, but at least it was watchable. I would have been offended if I had paid to see this thing at a theater.
