Thank you!

The original was hailed as some great masterpiece, the triumph of the silver screen and one of the best superhero movies ever made. Which was all crazy! It was not good at all.

The only thing I saw of that movie was a clip of a terrible CGI fight between black bodysuit man and dark purple bodysuit man. It did not make me want to see the rest of it.

Black Panther was OK, hero needed a bigger price or something to make the movie great instead of OK

Tenet, on the other hand, greatly benefits from a second viewing.

First WW was so bad I couldn't finish it. At the time, it was heralded as "really good for DC!" This may still be true.

The Midnight Sky was a weird movie, man. The tone was good and I think I liked it, but I'm not really sure there was a point to it. But then, do things have to have points? There was a long and expensive looking EVA scene that I can tell you was actually reasonably accurate. But it probably could have been cut from the movie entirely without losing much. Maybe Hollywood has me over-conditioned to expect tight narratives instead of just letting stuff happen.

Sara decided to watch the original Indiana Jones trilogy. We've done raiders and temple of doom. I remember Indy being more... uh, competent? I feel like he's a fucking moron?

Raiders was still great, but temple of doom is just bad. It's like just a bunch of random stuff happening and I can't tell if it's trying to be a cute-ish kid movie or a horror movie, or what the hell is going on.

That's what was said at the time

It's the movie responsible for creating the PG-13 rating!

Temple was being made while Lucas was getting divorced. He was kind of in a dark place.

I did not know this either. For some reason I thought these were only Spielberg, too, so I was surprised to see Lucas all over the credits.

For some reason, Temple of Doom is the only that really stuck with me as images in my mind. Raiders is great and Last Crusade is very fun, but the horror elements in Doom were very captivating to me when I first saw it, as a little kid.
