I grew up calling all reciprocating saws "Sawzalls" but I found out as an adult that's technically a Milwaukee brandname. I assumed it was just a portmanteau of "saws all."

I did this! I didn't think I was unfamiliar with it though; I figured out what "my-zuld" meant from context. Took years for me to connect it with the spoken word and then I felt dumb
