I would definitely advise attempting them one at a time rather than as a batch

no all the ones you're thinking of are exonyms from indo-european languages (unless I missed one)

they're probably still not very good answers though because you can't really assume that everything first coined in an indo-european language is related to some proto-indo-european root

Finnish isn't an Indo-European language, but unfortunately, the name "Finland" comes from what the Norse called the place, not from what its own people called it

There's only one U.S. president who served in the military but was never an officer
Spoiler!
James Buchanan was a Pennsylvania Militia private and fought in the War of 1812
I think most Americans would know this, but if you're from outside the United States, it might be harder. Only one U.S. president was a five-star flag officer
Spoiler!
Eisenhower. Grant probably would have been, if five-star ranks had existed back then
Only one U.S. president was awarded the Medal of Honor
Spoiler!
Teddy Roosevelt, but not until 2001

Those aren't trick questions

Here's a fiendish trick trivia question

Which U.S. president awarded which U.S. president the Medal of Honor in 2001?
Spoiler!
Bill Clinton, to Teddy Roosevelt. This award is often given posthumously. You would think that it would be George Bush who would award a Medal of Honor in 2001, but it was Jan. 16, and Bush hadn't quite been inaugurated yet

There can be, at any given moment, one five-star admiral or one five-star general for a branch of service, being the highest-ranking officer of that branch

At the time of Grant, the General of the Army was a four-star general. Five-stars didn't exist yet

If you're the president of all 50 states then you should be a 50-star general

I haven't added the planet one to the list, it seems to be controversial. The president one went right in, though, that one is gold
