This is also my take. I know people who like Max Temkin (one of them is quoted in the Kickstarter!) but this does appear to be some jigsaw puzzles.

I remember when I was a kid, there was a mystery story with a jigsaw puzzle, so the idea was that you'd read the story, then assemble the puzzle to discover clues that would tell you who the bad guy was. But they had to give you a picture of the museum (or whatever) so you'd have a chance at solving the puzzle. So what they did was just block out the three spots on the picture where the story-relevant stuff was, and then I realized I could just rummage through the pieces to find the ones that went in the hidden spots, and I didn't have to solve the entire puzzle.

I think it was a fun idea, but it had some implementation problems, which is what I suspect will be my opinion of this thing.

Kickstarter campaign: Jigsaw puzzles, but I'll come to your house and throw garter snakes at you while you do it. Premium investors get timber rattlers.

Day one, it's at $3 million

Have a lot of people played the core game or something? I'm totally unfamiliar with it

But then, it is from Poland, so maybe it's got a big European following already

I have definitely never heard of the base game either but I guess it's 33rd on BGG so I might be under a rock.

Tapeworm is a small casual card game from the maker of Super Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac

The Hunters and The Hunted are companion solitaire games by GMT where you are a submarine commander, basically Das Boot the game. Well two games for two different eras of the war. There's actually a third one in the Pacific called Silent Victory, but I didn't go in on that one yet

Twilight Struggle: Red Sea is a small game (half-hour to play) using the Twilight Struggle "engine" about conflict around, obviously, the Red Sea

What arrived are the Cliffs of Coldharbour expansion, and the Guilds (asymmetry) expansion

I received my GMT submarine games today

Silent Victory would probably make a good forum game. Although it is a one-player game, a few people could be the helpful crew members, making suggestions

Dinosaur 1944 is a game by Sandy Petersen that is co-op, like Planet Apocalypse, but instead of civilians vs. demons, it's Army men vs. dinosaurs

The minis are wonderful

Overlord is an Alhambra-like game where you build your own tableau of tiles acquired from a competitive center. But rather than a palace, you are building a landscape in which you are an evil video-game boss

The art style is straight out of Zelda: Link to the Past

GMT just sent me Imperial Struggle. However, they also sent me Wing Leader Expansion 3, which I didn't order

I left a message with them asking what I should do. I have a feeling that this was supposed to be Labyrinth: The Forever War, which I haven't received

Jeez I just looked up the Wing Leader expansion online, to see what it is (I haven't opened it from its wrapper), and it's $45!

I finally got a hold of somebody at GMT, using the live chat feature on their web site. This after they didn't respond to my emails, my FB message, or a FB reply I made. They said that this happened to a couple of people.

They're going to send me the Labyrinth expansion, and a shipping label for me to return the Wing Leader expansion without paying for it. I should have told them that if they let me keep the Wing Leader expansion, I'd buy the core game! I dunno if they would have gone for that. Anyway, I'm going to send them back their unopened expansion when I get the label.

Also I received the Torg Cyberpapacy box. The Cyberpapacy -- what do you think the tone should be of that? Is it more V for Vendetta, or is it more Equilibrium starring Christian Bale

The Cyberpapacy is France, so maybe it should be Moebius/Blade Runner

The one we played just didn't have a picture. My dad was sad when I put together 30 of the pieces, realized it was that chicks purse, and we were done.
