I bet you could get this to sort of work by embedding permanent magnets into a sleeve, but it probably wouldn't get much air. What you really need is a little baby tiny whoop style quadcopter designed to hold a card in it. Battery life probably wouldn't last a game though.

Magnets are notoriously difficult to balance, are they not? The top one just flips over. That's why I put a (?) anywaypterrus wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 6:47 pmI bet you could get this to sort of work by embedding permanent magnets into a sleeve, but it probably wouldn't get much air. Re: silly thoughts
we joke that when we're dead on board but continue to play, that we're playing to our heart attack outs (maybe our opponent spontaneously concedes)
Re: silly thoughts
I've won an embarrassing amount of games where my opponent flatly refused to kill me
Re: silly thoughts
iirc bracketbot won a game where our opponent had lethal on board (i think) and then accidently killed themselves with [card]crushing disappointment[/card] in conjunction with our [card]mage hunter[/card]

Also from the desk of magnets: how do they work:
We have magnetic child locks on our lower kitchen cabinets now. To open them, you need to take a magnetic key, a plastic thing that looks like a mushroom, down from the fridge and hover it over the lock mechanism.
Yesterday, I realized one of our keys didn't work anymore, on any lock. I moved it around the vicinity of the lock and realized I could get it to open only if I held the key at a spot a few inches away from the lock. Huh! Right that's because the magnetic field lines curve back around. That means... this magnet is reversed in polarity! I flipped the magnet around and it worked like normal.
I call out my discovery to my wife, excitedly telling her that one of our keys has somehow undergone a spontaneous polarity reversal and I need to look into this interesting phenomenon.
Oh, she says, I dropped that one on the floor and it broke open, so I put the magnet back in and superglued it back together. Guess I put in the magnet backwards.

i think they make newer versions where you don't have to worry about the orientation because the key has a magnetic monopole

You can be up for something or do for something, and it means the same thing
You can also be in for it, and that also means the same thing. But if you're out, then that's the opposite
