Unlike you, I don't think 'Orange Man Bad' is a good starting place to evaluate anything related to Trump.
Warp Speed had 0 impact on the development of the vaccines. The only thing Trump did was NOT fuck it up.
You need to stop arguing on Twitter. The 256 character limit has atrophied your ability to communicate with any kind of nuance, stripped you of your ability to consume posts with any critical thought, and reduced your responses to the bare minimum required to be a jackass.
I used to miss talking politics with you, I have been cured of that.
Nah. There's just no nuance to this. Some topics have some gray... like, hey, should he be decommissioning the surveillance agreements/hardware? Yeah, maybe? I think there's an argument that theses agreements mostly result in no actual value and a significant monetary cost.
Some things don't. Like, does Trump deserve credit for vaccine development efforts? And that's a LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLNO

well "was trump's covid policy impressive" is a different question from "was trump's vaccine policy impressive" which is in turn different from "was trump's vaccine policy better than doing nothing"

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials screened more than two million flyers Friday and Saturday following the government’s warning about Thanksgiving travel.
“TSA data indicates that more than 1 million travelers were screened on Friday, the second day to reach beyond 1 million since March. Friday’s traveling numbers amounted to almost 40 percent of the TSA screenings conducted on the same weekday last year,” the Hill reported.

So I found a story about that. The headline is ridiculously alarmist. However the governor’s action is capricious, arbitrary, and quite frankly ridiculous.
It’s a mandatory shutdown for any business that records four COVID cases in a two week period.
Which, what?

We're not even allowed to work in the office. You can go in as an event if you need to get something, but not to stick around and work from there

it implies all grocery stores, making it alarmist (assuming he did not actually shut down all grocery stores)

yeah, it strikes me as both misleading and alarmist. i would call it alarmist because it singles out the sort of business the mass shutdown of which would cause great alarm among the general populace (as opposed to say dog grooming salons or candy stores or whatever, which are also impacted by the order).
with love, your good friend, seathesee
