Apparently egg whites have no cholesterol. All the cholesterol is in the yolks

Frying things is definitely a source of bad cholesterol, but then I expect that you're not battering your eggs

i ate three poached eggs this morning. the whole concept of an egg eating license is pretty silly if you ask me.

I was kinda joking, when they say that fried food is bad for your cholesterol, they don't mean pan-frying, which if you think about it should always have been called "sauteeing" instead of "frying"

they want you to have a license to eat regular eggs, then they go and feed your kids deviled eggs at school

pan frying is still hypothetically bad, its just hypothetically less bad because you are using less oil.

fried foods are hypothetically bad because they infuse your food with additional calories and other (hypothetically bad) stuff in the (hypothetically bad) fats. it also creates carcinogens through a chemical reaction caused by the extremely high cooking temperature (hypothetically), which probably still occurs to some extent during pan frying. of course, this is all hypothetical.

blood cholesterol levels are a vaguely useful health indicator, but im not aware of a good case that eating cholesterol results in higher blood cholesterol levels, in the same way eating carbohydrates instead of fats will not prevent you from putting on weight

Olive oil would be good actually

People probably use butter with eggs though typically

If you use your own fat to do the frying you'll end up net-neutral at worst

I just heard of a Scotch egg for the first time, which apparently is a whole soft or hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in bread crumbs and baked or deep-fried

And you can get them at pubs? Incredible
