Spoiler!
yeah, those first two episodes have the arc of a movie, albeit one that wraps up with more loose ends than I'd prefer. I certainly didn't expect them to kill off the obvious villain characters so quickly

Yeah that episode was like two episodes edited together into one

Apparently the book is a bunch of short stories, although about the same protagonists

i was thoroughly entertained by tread, which i initially put on for some netflix background sound and then got seriously engrossed with.

i knew nothing of the events of June 4, 2004 in granby, colorado, so i have no idea how it holds up if you do. very good mix of people watching, pop psychology fodder, and general spectacle. do recommend.
with love, your good friend, seathesee

And somehow, that's not a graphic novel about Batman and The Penguin?

It's really fun. I'm torn though, I'm not certain if I like Klaus or Five more. The kid playing 5 is spectacular though, he utterly dominates every scene he's in.

Which is reasonable. Klaus is such a carefree spirit and he is burdened with absolutely the worst power imaginable. He is, and is meant to be, likeable. It's easy to sympathize with him.

Five is a monster though. He's absolutely committed, willing to do unspeakable acts, destroy worlds, sacrifice anything including himself all to save his family - people who cannot begin to comprehend what he's been through for them. He's compelling. I've always described this type of character as "Lawful Evil committed to the cause of good." I love characters like that.

That's why I didn't watch season 1. My girlfriend watched it (IN SECRET I guess?) because she likes Gerard Way and then I was around when season 2 started. It was fun not really knowing what powers everyone had.

It's also all stuff that comes up very very very early in season one, like maybe episode one early?

Started watching MLP with the kids, mostly because I was going to stab myself in the ear if I heard the Gigantosaurus theme song one more time, and I'm not sure I get it, guys.
