Probably what *this* should be called.

I thought that House of the Dragon was pretty good, but with the fifth episode I would now say it's really good

How do you rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 incest boners?

Apparently the incest failed to cause the boner, is the shot from episode four

finally got around to starting house of the dragon. the first episode was pretty good--lots of conflict lines set up. looking forward to catching up.

the rehearsal is a good one i think a lot of people here would like. the first episode is pretty stand alone (with the remaining episodes following a second related, but mostly separate, story arc. its definitely worth your time to watch the first one even if you dont feel like you have time to watch a full season of something.
with love, your good friend, seathesee

Episode six of House of the Dragon wasn't nearly as good as episode five. The time jump was handled pretty badly

It's still a good show, though

a public service announcement:
Over the Garden Wall is an extremely good movie-length (~115 minutes) animated miniseries that I strongly recommend (it's my second favorite show after Avatar: the Last Airbender). October is the perfect month to watch it because it's very fall/halloween appropriate. You can watch it on youtube for money (which I recommend; it's only $10 for HD and then you own it forever) here https://www.youtube.com/show/SC9CaImrR2 ... 1&sbp=CgEx or watch it in meh quality here https://www.wcofun.net/anime/over-the-garden-wall

I started She Hulk.

The CGI is a little weak. I've never had the Uncanny Valley effect looking at The Hulk, and I have had it several times looking at She Hulk. That being said, the show is a lot of fun.

Why couldn't they make a woman look taller and green as good as another of their shows made a talking hippopotamus look

Peter Jackson could have made a woman taller and green without CGI at all

I finished She Hulk last night and I want to backtrack a bit.

There were some really fun bits of the show.

Spoiler!
Emil Blonsky/The Abomination as a self help guru is a little cliched but surprisingly fun. The fourth wall breaking was a great homage to the John Byrne run of the comic. The use of D & E string characters let to some good moments. Ruffalo's Hulk continues to be good, but didn't overpower the show. The surprise use of Daredevil and his relationship with Jennifer Walters was inspired. And, there was a hallway fight! Also the casting of the insufferable Jameela Jamil as a D list super powered Instagram influencer was brilliant.

Worth mentioning that Tatiana Maslany was absolutely fantastic. She was by turns charismatic, believable, vulnerable, strong, and adorable.

But the bad was...

Spoiler!
Really bad.

The CGI continued to be subpar, particularly for Marvel.

But the worst was that Jennifer Walters as initially presented should have been a catch. Smart, funny, educated, successful, and cute. Unfortunately, they saddled the character with an utterly inexplicable lack of self esteem and then let her be used by a series of paper thin one-note caricatures. It was painful to watch. The entire series turned into a slog about how badly men suck, centered around a protagonist who only starts to realize her own self worth after she morphs into a Star Trek fanboy's wet dream (after which she was for some reason a target of incel rage). If there was supposed to be a deeper metaphor there, I must have missed it.

Anyway. Watch it if you're a completionist, or you want to know why Wong and Abomination were fighting in Shang-Chi. Otherwise, I really cannot recommend it.

Is anyone watching Andor? A podcaster I respect a lot has been gushing about it nonstop, calling it the best recent TV show (and not just the best Star Wars show). I haven't seen any of it, it takes a lot to get me watching Star Wars. But I'm curious what you guys think.

I’m enjoying it a lot, much to my surprise since the first few episodes were meh and the track record of star wars stuff is quite bad
