When I was a kid I had people online accuse me of being an adult because I had perfect spelling and grammar but now as an adult I don't can words good sometimes and maybe do a punctuation or twoStarprintsky wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 10:50 pm Has anyone else's grammar devolved as they aged? I keep catching myself using e.g. the wrong they're/their/there or adding meaningless apostrophes to my word's and it's not like I understand the stuff any less, I just keep picking them in stuff I write when I go back and read it.

Using punctuation can make you seem like a robot.

With the newborn, every week feels like a very long time. I was talking with my wife about how it feels like 2 weeks ago was the distant past. It's bizarre.
Let alone months. He turns 5 months tomorrow, and we've been in a pandemic for a little over that, but it's hard to even remember what February felt like. Not worrying about whether I brought my mask, going out whenever we want, not taking care of a human all the time, sleeping all night every night. It's actually getting hard to remember what that felt like.

I guess it's a good thing I'm on this hedonic treadmill then.

I spent the whole first year remembering exactly what life was like a year prior. Once I hit the 1 year mark it was this great relief because suddenly I was no longer thinking "1 year ago was amazing and now life sucks" and switched to "wow 1 year ago sucked a lot more than now does"
wow, [you]. that all sounds terrible. i hope it gets better for you
