Re: sports
im pretty sure the team im cheering for this round will lose it, and the team i will be cheering for next round will lose in that round.
if im being realistic, i guess it would be fun to see the bucks get it.

Re: sports
which teams are those?
nuggets blazers last night was wild. felt like jokic had to do everything himself. blazers would win easily if they shoot okay, but they shot terribly.

the blazers and nuggets are my favorite teams in this thing.
i think the nuggets are going to pull out round 1. im just hoping theres a game six because i have tickets for it.

Re: sports
definitely a bummer that they have to play each other round 1. although i feel like if it were clippers/blazers and nuggets/mavs then those are bad matchups for both of them. if the blazers can't beat the nuggets when they're this injured that's pretty oof for them. not much they can do to get better. getting nothing from Zach Collins is very sad-trombone
but yeah it's looking like nuggets will get it (more because they won game 3 than because i think they're the team that should win a bo7 series between the two of them), but then they're going to get annihilated by the lakers in the next round

Re: sports
i felt like gordon put in some good minutes while jokic was resting. he made some plays that really impressed me. porter felt pretty absent that game to me, which is really more concerning for portland, if anything.
portlands not going to win if they shoot 31% from three and nurkic fouls out.

Re: sports
they need to fix the bench one way or another. the moves this year didnt do the trick it appears. simons is kind of coming along, but hes not going to be the definitional player they were hoping for. collins...has been injured for over a year? i dont know whats going to happen with him, but it doesnt look good. i think they need to move mccollum to buttress the bench and sacrifice some virgins to whatever altar makes anfernee simons a mccollum level player.

Re: sports
yeah but the fact that they were in that game despite that plus denver shooting 52.6% from three is like, hey portland if you could play slightly better than "violently shitting the bed" you should win this series comfortablyseathesee wrote: portlands not going to win if they shoot 31% from three and nurkic fouls out.

Re: sports
mccollum for depth doesn't sound like a move that gets you anywhere to me. they're playing an 8 man rotation right now, so you're basically talking about exchanging your 3rd best player to upgrade melo and kanter? bleh. i guess they still have future firsts out there if they wanted to be crazy aggressive (https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft ... s/detailed nifty). CJ for Beal?

Re: sports
i dont completely disagree. four quarters does not equal a dollar when it comes to nba trades. i just dont know what they do from this point. maybe two fifty cent pieces and a quarter does equal a dollar and a dime? it may feel bad but i think it makes the team better, potentially (depending on details). i dont think it was a coincidence that the game they won was when melo came off the bench and did good stuff and not the games where lillard scored over 35 points. i dont know what portland really has to give if not cj.Crunchums wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 6:29 pm mccollum for depth doesn't sound like a move that gets you anywhere to me. they're playing an 8 man rotation right now, so you're basically talking about exchanging your 3rd best player to upgrade melo and kanter? bleh. i guess they still have future firsts out there if they wanted to be crazy aggressive (https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft ... s/detailed nifty). without knowing the contract details of cj and beal, i cant imagine washington does that without sweeteners. i imagine making that deal happen would make it a bad one for portland.

Re: sports
yeah i mean i wasn't suggesting cj for beal straight up, no way washington does that obv. would have to be cj and a bunch of picksseathesee wrote:without knowing the contract details of cj and beal, i cant imagine washington does that without sweeteners. i imagine making that deal happen would make it a bad one for portland.

if Monte Morris just made that layup...
I had been puzzled that the nuggets would play campazo over morris, so i feel vindicated by this game
