nah, magic's not the problem, it's arena's monitization model

Re: Boring Book Boar
magic's monetization model also kind of the problem, but i can hold my nose when its also prompting me to go out and make friends
on arena all the energy is just funnelled into the beast

Re: Boring Book Boar
Is there some kind of DDOS on any helpful online resource about MTGA?
I just want to know how much it costs for a complete set of a set? The emotional weight of Arena makes it feel like a second job, and I played a LOT of magic I had no interest in playing. And I'd say I'm on the whaley side of things. Payed 50-100 a quarter just to support the system and was nowhere CLOSE to being able to play whenever/whatever I wanted. Instead griiiiiiinding out worthless cards.
This is me, other people do it well. I think the folks that just draft are in a great position. I don't begrudge anyone's happiness here AT ALL. I just couldn't shake the feeling of needing to play every day and am genuinely happier having quit. Thanks Potion Master <3!

And that’s the Tee, right?
I can’t stop “optimizing” and the optimization is so, so fucking dumb.
I could make a grandiose proclamation (about tech or even more boring, about myself), but it boils down to being unable to find a healthy way to interact.
Re: Boring Book Boar
grinding quests is the literal worst
im glad my brain no longer even sees them. it comes with a bonus of getting to trigger ashe whenever i boot up arena on stream (because of all the 500 gold quests that haven't been re-rolled)

I just can't fucking understand why there aren't cool quests you can opt into.
Mill out an opponent, win at one life, win a game with a creatureless deck, win with a 300 card deck, whatever!

Re: Boring Book Boar
what are those crystal balls called that the villains always use to keep tabs on heroes? like they stare into it and can see what the heroes are up to
well whatever they're called
Ball of Seeing Good
Treasure - Level 6
You can see your next opponent's shopping phase.
(mouse over the treasure and you spectate them rather than seeing your own board)
