I stayed up till a little after 930 then passed out because there was no chatter. Guess I was supposed to wait 7 minutes.

quiplash is a lot better when you're playing with funny people like ashe

Everyone was great! I remember laughing a lot, which was awkward because my parents were sleeping

we ended up just drafting

we had an amazing game where we got the opponent to one, they stabilized, and then managed to have lethal on board with 1 card in their deck

its late and everyone is dejected. we draw... pop quiz. draw a dead card and look at a bunch of useless lessons. get teachings of archaics and draw deeper into scurrid colony and curate. we have 4 or 5 mana left. in a moment of weakness, ashe throws in the towel and drops a squirrel and passes. its 6am for him at this point and the four of us can't think of any live draws in our deck anyway. the opponent attacks for lethal. we curate just for fun... and reveal baleful mastery

amazing game though

I was so happy to be listening when that happened. That would have been an insane play if you'd found it in time

that was the same game i argued for attacking with 2 needlethorn drakes into whirlwind aerialist instead of just 1. which was a relevant thing in the end!

I promise no more mistakes ever again. Only 100% optimal gameplay for me from here on out. I guarantee it!

alright so were dead on board here with no cards in hand, but we're going to burn all our time in order to play to our heart attack outs

technically optimal gameplay would be using that time to attempt to doxx, contact, and threaten that person into conceding

I will have to optimize my emote use for maximally tilting my opponent, also

preparation is key, which is why your arena username should be chosen to maximise the chance that your opponent will be arrested for reading it

Playing to heart attack outs is actually a moral obligation. Players dying but also winning makes the game negative sum; players dying and giving a free win to an opponent is positive sum

A corollary is that if you are having a heart attack you should attempt to concede before you die

as per my will, i am endowing my son with my mtg arena account with the proviso that he doesn’t get to touch a dime of the inheritance without getting mythic in limited AND constructed

so yeah i’m not conceding SHIT. those are my boy’s gems

Played Wingspan at our first vaxxed board game night and I got a bonus card that counts any birds with a body part in its name. I felt ripped off that the Dickcissel didn't count. But I guess it's a slippery slope with woodpeckers, nuthatches, bushtits and titmouses all in the mix
