Re: netrunner
program is a type of permanent (runner) card
"stack" = runner's library
every corp/runner X hand/library/discard thing has its own name
corp hand = HQ
corp library = R&D
corp discard = archives
runner hand = grip
runner library = stack
runner discard = heap
the corp ones make total sense and then hey you might as well do the runner ones as well
though while netrunner players say HQ/R&D/Archives, for runner they usually just say hand/deck/[trash/discard]
one time FFG printed "hand" instead of "grip", which is funny

currently (just grepping card text for those things):
HQ - 211
R&D - 178
archives - 88
grip - 126
stack - 89
heap - 44

Re: netrunner
so instead of just spewing my technology into the GLC discord, i will instead post my brews here. i am fascinated by corp grinder decks, so here are two of the best ones i've made so far:
https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/9d7 ... ort-prison
the card explanations are in there, but basically, it's a bladderwort/urban renewal deck that uses georgia's activated ability to reduce your credits to 3 or less on your opponent's end step. 3-of urban renewal because you need to have a way to beat runners who try to wait you out. if you have about an hour to play it, it is actually quite good.
next deck:
Ob Superheavy Logistics: Extract. Export. Excel.
Agenda (7)
1x Above the Law
3x City Works Project
3x SDS Drone Deployment
Asset (13)
1x Daily Business Show ●
1x Drudge Work
1x Marilyn Campaign ●
3x Spin Doctor ●●●
2x Svyatogor Excavator
1x TechnoCo
3x Urban Renewal
1x Wall to Wall
Operation (9)
3x Extract
3x Hedge Fund
3x Preemptive Action
Upgrade (6)
1x Crisium Grid
1x Hokusai Grid ●●
1x Manegarm Skunkworks ●●●
3x Mavirus ●●●
Barrier (11)
3x Border Control
2x Envelopment
3x Ice Wall
2x IP Block ●●
1x Masvingo
Sentry (3)
1x Stavka
2x Tithe
15 influence spent (max 15, available
20 agenda points (between 20 and 21)
49 cards (min 45)
Cards up to Midnight Sun
this is my newest deck and i love it. mavirus in ob is SICK! it's so cool, and i mentioned elsewhere, it feels almost like a counterspell in that it sits hidden until your opponent commits to a run, and then you can use it to disrupt their plan. it can put a skunkworks in any server you want at any time as long as skunk is in your deck. hokusai grid is another nice little surprise that you can put on a central or whatever if you want the runner to take a damage, or to counter a stargate or deep dive turn. you can even use it to tutor for a turn 1 technoco, which i haven't done, but seems awesome. basically, like the other deck, the end game is installing and recycling urban renewals into your deck until the runner dies, except you can tutor for the renewals. your mid and late game is using wall to wall to pump your advanceable ice to make runs more and more expensive until you finally grind them out.

also if you can help me understand how border control works with skunkworks, i'd really appreciate it, because the run timing chart doesn't help much

Re: netrunner
for the Ob deck, I was thinking that perhaps I could include 1 storgotic resonator. alongside urban renewal, it will almost assuredly kill a runner on 4 cards, and you can fetch it with mavirus at the end of their turn
might be too cute though, especially since it costs influence

if skunkworks has triggered then you can no longer fire border controlBracketbot wrote:also if you can help me understand how border control works with skunkworks, i'd really appreciate it, because the run timing chart doesn't help much

skunk triggers at 6.9.4g after which (barring shenanigans) there is no paid ability window. the last window you have to use BC is the same as the last window you have to rez skunk (6.9.4e)

i do not get how that corp is supposed to work. your plan is to grind the runner out but your ice is mostly flimsy? 0 code gates?

i think the concept of the deck is fundamentally not good. but yeah, afshar, maybe hortumBracketbot wrote:how would you adjust the ice?

this is the new thing i'm trying. it's a glacier deck that tries to build servers with a ton of upgrades to take advantage of tranq grid and warroid tracker. ganked + the fairchildren and tyr seems pretty good
after you build the gigantic server you try to score 3/5s in them by neveradvancing and double seamless

Re: netrunner
maybe play Ansel given that it can go infinite with Ganked
feels like https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/d35 ... -roid-rage except you're way slower and poorer without much in exchange. 6 agendas is nice, but having to score 3 5/3s seems rough
nice that Warroids work on Pinhole runs I guess

Re: netrunner
might want -1 ganked +1 gene splicer as a way to win?
Re: netrunner
yeah something like gene splicer (echo chamber is another alternative but it's more influence) to tilt the scoring game in your favor would make a lot of sense
also i don't really get warroids. doesn't work with ganked, so it's basically pairing with 2x Manegarm Skunkworks? yeah it protects tranq but the runner will just leave tranq, that's not really a win for you

Re: netrunner
it's good against stargate too. it definitely made more sense in the conceptual la costa grid deck (before i realized my mistake) vs. the ganked version. maybe better as something else like corporate troubleshooter or somethingCrunchums wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 4:32 am yeah something like gene splicer (echo chamber is another alternative but it's more influence) to tilt the scoring game in your favor would make a lot of sense

Re: netrunner
I’m going to test out:
-2 border control
-2 warroid tracker
+2 ansel
+1 anoetic void
+1 gene splicer
losing BC isn’t ideal but void works better with skunkworks anyway, and it frees up enough inf for a gene splicer. ansel adds another nice hit with ganked

Re: netrunner
the current iteration been doing pretty well. ganked is extremely good with the fairchildren. if they did get to the bottom of the server in that screenshot, past the void and skunkworks, they would have hit two gankeds on a fairchild 3. the tranquility grid is firing almost every turn with all of the upgrades, assets, etc.
you can score 5/3s pretty easily by installing and either single advancing it (looks like NGO) or not advancing it (another upgrade/asset?) and then using one or two seamlesses to score it. the ID ability gets back the seamless to do it again (this is actually quite sick). seamless is obviously so awesome in this strategy because it's click compression and an economy card rolled into one.
